An organization that exists mostly to provide info to value-added resellers has named the winners of this year's Annual Report Card (ARC) Awards. Dominant companies included Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard, though other firms came out on top in multiple categories, as well.
Kaspersky Lab, for example, scored wins with respect to support and partnership in addition to client security software. IBM did well in terms of support, too, and also succeeded in the data and information category.
Meanwhile, Dell made a name for itself in the partnership and support subcategory, while winning in the overarching category of midrange servers. And Intel carried the processors and platforms category along with a couple subcategories.
As for Microsoft, one slide of a CRN slideshow stated, "Microsoft nabbed six ARC awards, sweeping the middleware category and also grabbing honors in the partnership categories of data and information management and VoIP/unified communications."
Then another slide described Hewlett-Packard's performance by saying, "Hewlett-Packard took product innovation honors in a number of categories, including SMB network storage, volume mainstream business servers and workgroup color printers, as well as an overall win for SMB storage."
Congrats to all of the winners, who seem likely to see more business from VARs, and good luck to everyone else next year.
